iHub Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Innovation Hub Foundation (“iHub,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information obtained through the iHub website (the “Site”), applications for our programs (Blueprint, Foundation, Elevation, Rebuild), events, workshops, SMS communications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date, and where required by law we will provide additional notice (e.g., via email or SMS).

We collect information in three main ways:

Contact and identity details (name, email address, phone number)

Professional information (company, role, resume/CV, LinkedIn profile)

Application materials for Blueprint, Foundation, Elevation, or Rebuild programs

Communications with us (inquiries, feedback, support requests, SMS replies)

Event and workshop registrations

SMS consent preferences and communication history

Any other information you voluntarily submit

b. Information Collected Automatically

Device and browser information

IP address, geolocation (city/country level)

Pages viewed, time spent, referring URLs

Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (see Section 5)

c. Information from Third Parties

Publicly available professional profiles

Referrals from mentors (“Foremen”), partners, or alumni

Analytics providers and advertising networks

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (e.g., health, race, religion, political opinions) unless voluntarily provided in a Rebuild application, in which case it is treated with heightened confidentiality.


2. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

To review and process program applications

To operate, maintain, and improve the Services

To communicate with you via email and SMS, including:

Application status updates

Program notifications and reminders

Event confirmations and updates

Operational or account-related messages

To match founders with mentors and resources

To administer events, workshops, and community features

To conduct anonymized analytics and research

To comply with legal obligations

To detect, prevent, and address fraud, security, or technical issues

To enforce our Terms of Use and protect our rights

SMS Consent and Use

SMS messages are sent only to individuals who have explicitly opted in by submitting their phone number through a web form, application, event registration, QR code scan, or other consent-based method that clearly discloses SMS communication. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP, or by contacting us at [email protected].


3. Legal Bases (EEA/UK Visitors)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the UK, we process personal data on the following bases:

Performance of a contract with you (e.g., program participation)

Our legitimate interests (e.g., site security, analytics, operational communications), provided they are not overridden by your rights

Your consent (e.g., SMS messages, marketing emails, non-essential cookies)

Compliance with legal obligations


4. Sharing of Personal Information

We share personal information only in these limited circumstances:

With service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, email delivery, SMS delivery platforms, payment processing, analytics) under strict confidentiality agreements

With mentors (“Foremen”) and partners when you opt in to introductions

We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers for third-party marketing purposes.
SMS consent is not shared with third parties, except as necessary to deliver messages through our authorized service providers.


5. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use essential cookies to enable core site functionality. We also use analytics and marketing cookies with your consent. You can manage preferences via the cookie banner or your browser settings.


6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described, typically:

Active program participants: duration of participation + 7 years (legal/tax requirements)

Inactive contacts (including SMS subscribers): up to 3 years from last interaction

Logs and analytics: up to 26 months


7. International Transfers

iHub is based in the United States. Personal information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries with different data-protection standards. We use approved mechanisms (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) to ensure adequate protection.


8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access, correct, update, or delete your personal information

Object to or restrict processing

Withdraw consent (including SMS consent)

Data portability

Opt out of marketing communications (unsubscribe link, reply STOP, or email [email protected])

Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

9. Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. However, no system can be 100% secure.

The Services are not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
